Marking one year since its release, the group now announces Velvet Bloom Live Sessions — a collaborative live video series capturing soulful performances of songs from the record alongside some of their favourite local musicians.

LIVE SESSIONS ON YOUTUBE – HERE

Filmed in November 2024 at Studio A in Box Hill, the sessions act as a time capsule of Velvet Bloom and friends just prior to the album’s national tour. Core members Maddy Herbert, Alex Marko, Nic Morton and Miguel Hutton are joined by collaborators Robyn Poppins (percussion), Liam de Bruin (guitar & percussion), Emi and Pia Nesvara (backing vocals), and Jay Jarome (bass & backing vocals). The expanded lineup brings warmth and texture to the album’s blend of soul, pop, funk, folk and indie — centring feel, interplay and connection.

The Live Sessions continue the band’s long-standing creative relationships behind the scenes, filmed and edited by Rhys Newling with assistance from Cato Parker Maclean, recorded by Martyn Lolkema with assistance from Lara Prokop and mixed by Alex Marko.
