‘Darlin” was inspired by a Tarot reading that foretold an unexpected path and hinted at a destiny yet to unfold. Beneath the cards lay a timeless message: to trust the unknown, embrace life’s twists, and keep moving forward with faith. While born from one person’s experience, the song speaks to a universal journey of hope, resilience, and surrender to whatever comes next.

Built around earthy guitars, banjo, organic percussion and Katie Milae’s soul-stirring vocal, Darlin transforms the uncertainty of a tarot reading into an uplifting desert-folk anthem about trusting the unknown.

The single arrives following Katie’s independently booked three-month Australian tour, which covered more than 10,000 kilometres and included appearances at Townsville Folk Festival, Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival and Goodness Me Festival, a support performance for Ash Grunwald and a sold-out hometown house concert.
