MT WARNING is the Northern Rivers, NSW musical project of acclaimed singer-songwriter Mikey Bee—a Bangalow-based musician, storyteller, performer and father whose work has been shaped by a lifetime immersed in surf culture, theatre, travel, recovery, spirituality and the transformative power of song.
Blending blues, roots, psych-folk, alternative rock and acoustic storytelling, MT WARNING creates cinematic, emotionally rich music that feels equally at home on an open highway as it does around a campfire or in a packed theatre. Intimate and vulnerable in its songwriting, yet expansive and uplifting in its live delivery, the project bridges the space between heartfelt folk confession and widescreen rock performance.
Over many years, Mikey Bee has built a respected creative career, earning international listeners, sync placements, playlist support and a reputation as a compelling live performer. Rather than following trends, MT WARNING draws its strength from lived experience—crafting songs that carry the weight of resilience, humour, family, heartbreak, hope and redemption.
The forthcoming album Dream Mostly represents a significant new chapter for the project, serving as both a reintroduction and a creative statement. It showcases MT WARNING’s evolution into a mature artistic voice, expanding on an already established catalogue while inviting new audiences into its deeply human world.
Positioned within the adult alternative, psych-folk and roots-rock landscape, MT WARNING creates heartfelt, cinematic road-trip music for emotionally aware listeners—for travellers, surfers, romantics and quiet adventurers seeking connection, courage and moments of wonder. Through songs that transform ordinary life into something profound, Mikey Bee continues to build a body of work that is authentic, timeless and unmistakably Australian.
